This a such an inspirational video, it was done to make a statement against war, poverty and the general state of affairs around our troubled world these days.

Making Pumpkin Brooches
Making pumpkins, this is how they look in the rough stages of progress. Notice the glue is still wet on some. These little cuties need to dry for a few days. Then I will pin them, glitter and spray with finish. Keep an eye out for these "Smashing Pumpkins" in my "Artfire shop" they will be there soon!

My little Buddy
Meet my precious dog Hooch. A lively Boston Terrier that is never far from my side.
He follows me every where I go and is a faithful companion. He is quite a character, chasing squirrels and rabbits are some of his favorite hobbies. At night when I get home from work he is the first one to greet me with his cute little howl and unconditional love. How could it be any better than that!

"High Falls" on the Pigeon River, Grand Portage. Minnesota
This is a photo of the "High Falls" on the Pigeon River at Grand Portage, Minnesota. I took this and many other photos this week while on vacation. The scenic route along the north shore of Lake Superior is loaded with one state park after another. Nearly every park has a waterfall and some have multiple waterfalls. I highly recommend the parks are a feast for the eye and great fun for anyone who loves nature hiking!
I will soon be offering this print and many others for sale in my ArtFire shop at the following link so be sure to check in about a week!

Time to start Planting!
Here is my garden last year. We have had drought for the last two years so it has been a struggle to keep it green and growing. So I am praying for rain this year. My main garden is 5ooo Sq.Ft. and I have a couple other smaller areas that I plant. Also apple and cherry trees. Keeps my hubby and I very busy.

Dreaming of Spring!
I am longing for all the wonderful sights and smells of spring. Winter in Minnesota has been a long one this year.
It has me dreaming of fresh homemade "Rhubarb Meringue Pies"! Lilacs blooming are so beautiful and sweet smelling after a spring rain. April showers bring May flowers so keep checking my shops for more new brooches.
My art work has kept me busy but I still feel like I am suffering from "Cabin Fever!" :)

All About Me!
I'm an avid gardener and this is where I get much of my inspiration for "JulsFantasyFlowers". I love working with color. I design my happy little flowers as stylized versions of real flowers, they have elements of reality but are really just intended to be fun cheerful little posies. I strive for detail in my work and am committed to providing a unique product to my customers. Each brooch is hand sculpted one petal at a time, so each flower is one of a kind. Sure to be a conversation piece. Born and raised in southern Minnesota. As a child I was surrounded by the beautiful lush gardens of my parents and grandparents. I feel blessed to have lived the experience. Photography and sewing are also hobbies of mine. Member of CAST (Christian Artist Street Team).
